Today I'm going to
talk about what I want to be my future job. In my first year
as a university student I chose theory and history of art, but I'm
not happy. This could be one of my major mistakes I've done.
Originally, I wanted to study music in this university but my scores
were not high enough so I thought I could change to that career by
studying in the same department, but it turned out it's not that
easy. I don't want to be all day talking, debating and reading about
arts, writing books that only get to see your colegues and a few
number of people, making nothing but a minor impact in no one's mind,
cause, let's be honest, not many people is interested in arts. It might
sound harsh but I don't see a real utility in this career. The only
interesting thing it's the theory and even that could be useless if
we keep it for ourselves. I think I have the skills to create. So, I
want to be a musician. Since this job is a little independent from a
boss, you can build it up by yourself with your own ideas. Plus I'm
very anxious around people almost all the time and this helps me.
the best advice I can give you ... change your country and go your way.
ResponderEliminarI made exactly the same mistake, and I also regretted taking theory, but now I'm finishing plastic arts, I just had to take that disgusting year, nothing more, try it.
ResponderEliminarMaybe you can do a magister? It's not so recommendable to study another degree...
ResponderEliminarBe sorry about that your experience with art theory has been so bad, but I hope you can manage your objective.
ResponderEliminarI am studying "Theory and History of Art" sometimes think that is one mistake, but I really liked and were my first option. The academic area is really the most little, the field is a lot bigger
