Well, I'm not a fan of taking pictures to other people or to myself. I get really scared when someone takes out the camera and shoots at me or want a selfie and I don't like my photos. I've never liked cameras. So what I'll show to you is not a picture, but a video recording, not because I'm tricky or a shameless person. It's because that time mean a lot to me and was one of the best nights I had. It was last summer in Horcón. My friend invited me to spend some weeks in his beach house in a community of teachers, a rural and very peaceful place. The idea was to play a gig in the community near the dunes to collect some money for one of the neighbors who was sick I think. We managed, somehow, to connect our little amplification equipment, we had many
electric troubles, but all of us were enjoying ourselves before playing. We played chicha covers with touches of afro rhythms close to the midnight, when everybody is drunk and overcoming the walls of reality and perception. It was a mystical night: everyone was jumping around like feeling every note and hit of the drums. It's funny how people react due to our improvisations, is like a chamanic ritual. I felt like we had summon old roots of latin music.
